by Ms. Thomas’ Second Grade Class

The Second Grade clases at Echo Horizon School in Culver City, California are members of the Save the Manatee Club. The Second Grade adopted two manatees this year, Lenny and Phillip. Below are some poems the children wrote about manatees.

A Manatee

A manatee is playful.
A manatee is fun, but our
Manatee is Philip and
He’s an endangered species.
